1970 Chevrolet Chevelle LS6 454-450hp

Auctioned on Saturday, April 5, 2008

Sold at $104,500

Experience the ultimate in Chevrolet performance with this 1970 Chevelle SS, powered by the thundering LS6 454 cubic inch, 450 horsepower V8 engine, backed by a Muncie M22 “Rock Crusher” four-speed manual transmission.

This red, matching numbers Chevelle has been virtually untouched, with the exception of one repaint and the replacement of the factory white seat covers to the current black upholstery. During the repaint, all original body panels were kept on the car including quarter panels, rocker panels and trunk floor. Additional performance equipment includes power front disc brakes, a F41 special performance suspension, a 4.10:1 G80 Posi-Traction rear end, and a cowl induction hood. It is completely documented with the original build sheet, bill of sale, Protect-O-Plate, bank loan disclosure statement, registration certificate and warranty booklet.

This incredible example represents the absolute peak of Chevrolet muscle cars, and struck fear in the hearts of the Hemi contingent in Super Stock competition. This Chevelle LS6 is a rare find at auction and rarer still with full documentation and matching numbers.
